It’s easyto be honest but at the end of the daythe uniform that I wear I love and Ireally feel good when I wear a MIA Miami Local Standard MIA Retro Dolphin Miami FL shirt blackt shirt and when I wear jeans and it’stheir great quality jeans great qualityshirts I’m very comfortable and I don’tI don’t find myselfnot that I did this all the time where Iwas you know spending hours gettingready going through clothes and tryingto find the right outfit but I don’tfind myself spending nearly as much timegetting ready for sure and making younot to make as many decisions eitherright which it’s a silly decision wehave to make all these little tinydecisions so later in the day or 4 p m were worn out because we’ve already madethe 120 decisions that we have for theday that are good decisions why not saveit the decision on something that ismore meaningful yeah but I’ll tell youwhat I love well I’ll tell you what Ihated and this does not happen anymorewhen I would go to my closet and I pullout a shirt and I’m like man I reallylove that shirtbut it doesn’t really look that good onme maybe. Whole technology chapter inthere one of the essays that’s in thereis one of my favorites called mostemergencies aren’t the problem is westart treating everything likeemergencies now and to the point wherewe can’t discern what an actualemergency is versus what a just a twitchis in fact my friend Julian Smith hewrote a book called the flinch and it’sabout how we have this this biologicalimperative someone swings a fist at uswe’re gonna flinch we’re gonna tense upwe’re supposed to we’re protectingourselves but now we we flinch at thingslike a 1 drop in our for a 401 K overthe last quarter and we’re flinching forall of these things that don’t require aflinch and so we’re overwhelmed byanxiety because of it and so I foundthat one of the things that was reallyoverwhelming me was by technology and soI found ways to take back control ofthat technology by putting in some rulesin place temporarily depriving myself ofthings and then bringing the tools backinto my life in a way that was moreintentional by temporarilyremoving
